~Do it yourself nails!

I am the type of person that will figure out any way to save money...yeah. Since Spring is here-honey, it's time to get the nails right! You don't want to put some cute sandals on, and your toes are just offending everyone they meet! You can have beautiful hands without spending a lot of money, too. I love french manicures because it is very simple, clean, and always matches every outfit. Here is my at-home-french-manicure procedure:

What you will need: White nail polish, base coat, clear nail polish, orange stick, french manicure strips OR tape (scotch, anything similar).

  1. Wipe off any nail polish, and soak hands and/or feet (3-5 minutes is what I do)

  2. Dry hands and/or feet on towel

  3. Push back cuticles with orange stick (the wooden little-stick-thingy)

  4. Clip nails if needed, cut toe nails straight across (this will prevent ingrowns!), and file

  5. Rinse hands and/or feet if needed

  6. Apply a base protective coat, let dry

  7. Stick the strips, or tape across the nail bed, making sure how big you want the white stripe to be

  8. Paint the little area with white nail polish, and BEFORE it dries- take the strip or tape off

  9. Continue with the rest

  10. After the white nail polish is dry on all nails, paint nails with a clear polish (some may have a little tint of color)

  11. Voila!!! You have beautiful nails that everyone will love!
